A reply to the question "how can I help?"
Dear brothers and sisters, Greetings to all of you in the name of our heavenly father! I am writing with a heart filled with gratitude. My gratitude goes to all the brothers and sisters who remain in prayer for us. Those who don't know the importance of prayer may underestimate it's power, but I know, and my teammates know, and many Haitian people know. My gratitude also goes to those like Bree who sacrificed their money to give toward helping my countrymen. |

Good News and Bad News Greetings my dear brothers and sisters, I want to thank all of you who were praying for us while we were undertaking the scary task of looking for people, assessing the situation and distributing a little water and crackers to the people in Port-au-Prince. |

Pray, pray, pray My beloved friends, Greetings! Thanks to all of you for the e-mails you have sent to encourage us. We appreciate them all. The situation tears our hearts. We deeply grieve. We fear the unknown. We are afraid of the worst. But we hand our fears over to God. What is going on in my country is indescribable, particularly in Port-au-Prince. We have lots of concerns. I have received absolutely no information about my sister Bea. She lives close to the national palace, one of the most affected areas. We know of several church members who have relatives in Port-au-Prince. The best news we can expect is for a lot of injuries, but we also fear that several of them are dead. |

Dear brothers and sisters, (Gonaives, where Living Water is located, is 85 miles north of Port-au-Prince where most of the earthquake damage occurred on January 12, 2010) We are safe here in Gonaives because we received only a small part of the earthquake. But my heart is broken because a huge portion of Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, is devastated. The national palace is utterly destroyed. Most of the government buildings are destroyed. A lot of houses are destroyed. We don't even know yet, if we still have a President. The Catholic Church building in Port-au-Prince is devastated. Highschool, hospital and many other companies are destroyed. |

A new beginning
Dear brothers and sisters, Greetings to all of you in the name of Our Lord, Savior and God: JESUS! Today is 10-01-10. One of my former teachers, I am sure, would have some comment to make about it. Please don't ask me what the comment would be, because I don't know. I just know he likes those things as much as he likes alliteration. |
